How To Move Your Site - Exit Plan

As somebody who takes digital sovereignty seriously, I feel it is important that my clients know that they’re not “stuck” with me. If you trust me to host and manage your site for you as a Concierge client, I have no intention or desire to hold your site.

Not only that, it is a legitimate concern to ask… what happens if I suddenly disappeared? If something happened to me, then what? Is the site stuck?

So, I want to directly address an exit plan and how you can migrate your site away without my involvement.

Migrating your site away from hosting that I manage for you can be done without my involvement. I will also be providing all clients with a mini “operator’s manual” that shows you what services are in use for your site so you’ll know what is going on.

Keep in mind, this is only relevant if something were to happen to me unexpectedly. In any other circumstance, if you choose to leave Concierge, I will assist in ensuring your site is properly migrated to a host of your choice.

As for plugins licensed through Concierge, they will continue to work. Your licenses may eventually expire, however the code will continue to work. And you can then acquire your own licenses to continue to receive updates.
